Smt. Mala Rajeev Sinha, B.A. and M.A. in Political Science from Delhi & Patna University respectively and MBA, Chartered & Master Financial Analyst from ICFAI. She belongs to 1983 batch of Indian Audit & Accounts Service (IA&AS) and started her career as an Assistant Accountant General (A&E), at Patna, Bihar w.e.f. 01st September 1984 and retired from the service on 30th November 2017 as Additional Dy. Comptroller & Auditor General (North Eastern Region). During her career spanning 34 years, Smt. Mala Sinha handled the various External and International Audit assignments for the Government.

During her tenure from 1984 to 2017, she held various prestigious positions viz. Deputy Accountant General, Sr. Deputy Accountant general, Director at Eastern Railway, Principal Director, Central, Principal Director of Audit, Principal Accountant General for Central Railway. Principal Accountant General for Various States & locations at Lucknow, Patna Kolkata, Mumbai and Allahabad etc. During her Association as Additional Comptroller & Audit general (North Eastern Region), she oversaw overall supervision of Audit of 8 North Eastern States, Preparation of Audit Reports etc. She is having more than 3 decades of exemplary experience in Finance and Management and experience of various offices in Indian Audit and Accounts Department dealing with Audit.

She was an Independent Director of North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Ltd. (NEEPCO) from 11/07/2019 to 10/07/2022.

Smt. Mala Sinha performed duties for Central government includes Finance, taxation, Revenue, Autonomous Bodies and Railway as well as for State government and local bodies.
